Car accidents are caused by different factors, either small or huge, they could contribute for an occurrence of an accident. In previous blogs, we have talked about mechanical errors and human errors which tend to result in fatal accidents.

During this holiday season, people around streets and road users are doubled due to work and school breaks and the trend of groceries and giving gifts to celebrate Christmas Day and New Year. Given this, the risks of sustaining injuries in multiple means tend to double as well including environment risks that could result in falls, electrocution, and burns and road risks such as vehicle crash.

All ages are excited to go out for this wonderful season, especially teens, where they were known to be involved in multiple accident in the recent years, not talking inauspiciously. But according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were almost 2,400 teens aged 13-19 years old were killed and estimated 258,000 teens sustained minor and/or major that were treated in emergency departments caused by involvement in motor vehicle crashes.

Christmas Day has passed days ago and several news coverage has delivered significant Christmas Eve and Christmas Day crash reports which almost summed up National Safety Council’s (NSC) estimation based from previous years’ recorded cases of such in the same period of observation. Most have sustained injuries and fatalities recorded across all age group from infants up to people within their 60’s, but is more than 45% lesser than preceding years’ records which somehow alleviate some worries from safety federal agencies on this upcoming New Year holiday.

According to National Safety Council, the major factors contributing in the occurrence of accidents during the holiday involve alcohol and drugs impairment and distracted driving.

In most car crashes scenes we all have witnessed, the most damaged and sustained the most injuries are considered and viewed as the victim and crosses out the possibility that they have been a factor for an accident to happen.
